Huron Hills Golf Course has an 18-hole course with 4 different sets of tees that can vary your playing experience every visit. Also on site is a full-service pro shop and a clubhouse to host any event.

Cavanaugh Lake Park is a 2-acre park with pavilion and children's play area. There is no swimming in lake.

Other features include lakeside picnic areas, picnic shelter, running water, vault toilets, children's play area, beautiful sunsets, fishing possibilities. Cavanaugh Lake Park is not wheelchair accessible.

Parker Mill is a 28-acre park featuring walking trails, a handicap-accessible wetland boardwalk, interpretive signs, picnic areas and restrooms. The Parker Mill Grist mill, a well-preserved example of a small-scale grist mill operation that was once common in Michigan, is functional and open for public tours on Sundays in the fall.

Although the mill is its defining feature, the park offers an extensive trail network that lets visitors explore the forested banks of Fleming Creek to its confluence with the Huron River.

Gallery One is dedicated to developing and presenting exhibitions that are enjoyable as well as educational and challenging. Free and open to the public, the exhibitions are created to be thought provoking while helping to make art accessible by relating it to different aspects of life.

Almost all of the exhibitions are accompanied by related workshops and lectures from artists and qualified experts.

Offers canoe, kayak, paddleboat, and rowboat rentals. Voted "Ann Arbor’s Best Community Park." Includes coffee shop, hiking trails, fishing, playgrounds, pavilions, and nature areas.

Gallup Park

Gallup Park is a 69-acre park. One of Ann Arbor's most popular recreation areas. It is located along the Huron River and Geddes Pond with scenic walkways that traverse small islands with bucolic pedestrian bridges.

The park contains two playgrounds, a canoe livery, picnic areas and grills scattered throughout the park, two picnic shelters, open field for play, and over three miles of asphalt trails that are popular for biking, rollerblading, walking and running.

The Gallup Park Livery has an accessible dock for people of all ages and abilities.There is a public boat launch for those with their own watercraft.

Huron Parkway Nature Area is a 19-acre undeveloped nature area located just east of Huron Parkway, south of Huron River Drive, and north of Washtenaw Ave.

Occasionally, visitors may encounter a city park with no trails– as is the case at Huron Parkway Nature Area. These natural areas represent a unique recreation and conservation feature of the city’s park system. In these spaces across the city, off-trail exploration is encouraged– a rare opportunity to meander through a wild space in an urban context.

The Huron Parkway Nature Area is home to several uncommon species, such as hazelnut, flowering dogwoods and chinkapin oaks. The spring/summer wildflowers include spring beauty, May apple, wild geranium, trillium, and Jack-in-the-pulpit.

Flat Water is a Big Bear Tournaments ice hockey tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan, running October 2–4, 2026. Sanctioned by USA Hockey, the event welcomes 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U teams at B, A and AA levels. Each team is guaranteed four games, with the final game serving as a championship or consolation contest, and game periods vary by age division.

The 9th Annual 5K Domestic Violence Awareness Run/Walk is an in-person community event at Frog Island Park in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Participants can run or walk alongside friends and family while raising awareness and showing support for people affected by domestic violence. This approximately three-and-a-half-hour event offers a meaningful way for the community to come together in support of survivors.&#x20;

E-Race the Stigma with the Trinity Health Probility Ann Arbor Marathon! Supporting local mental health charities, participants run through the vibrant streets of downtown Ann Arbor, then wind their way through the panoramic University of Michigan campus. The marathon, half-marathon, and 10K courses also encompass stretches along the Huron River and Gallup Park and through Nichols Arboretum before returning to campus and downtown.

The 2026 Women in Sports: ElevateHER Summit, presented by Michigan Athletics, brings together student-athletes, alumni, community members, coaches and attendees for an evening focused on opportunity, leadership and the future of women in sports. Held October 15 at Crisler Center, the event features networking with current and former student-athletes and coaches beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by a panel at 6 p.m. with Michigan alumnae and prominent sports-industry leaders including Andrea Joyce, Kate Johnson, Estee Portnoy, Casey E. Taylor and Li Li Leung. The summit offers storytelling, professional development, networking and mentorship.
