2025 NJCAA DI Football Championship Returns to Bain-Schaeffer Stadium

The 2025 Credit Union 1 NJCAA Division I Football Championship will be broadcast nationwide on ESPNU on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 7 PM ET / 6 PM CT with the title game taking place at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium on the campus of West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.

Miss Rodeo Texas has moved to Amarillo after 30 years in San Antonio

Amarillo will host the Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant for three consecutive years, from 2026 through 2028, organizers announced Tuesday. The 2026 pageant is set for June 16–20. The Embassy Suites Amarillo Downtown will serve as the site for the pageant events, and the Amarillo National Center will host the horsemanship competition.

XFDA World Finals Championship

Iron Horse Shoot Out 2024

Amarillo hosted the 3rd annual Iron Horse Shoot Out July 18-21, 2024 at The Pavilion at the Santa Fe Depot. With riders coming in from across the nation and parts of Canada to showcase their skills and tenacity while completing in 9 different courses. All proceeds from Iron Horse are in benefit for the 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle, which provided assistance to the families of certified peace officers, and firefighters who have lost their lives on the line of duty.
