Sacramento is hosting the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Regionals on November 14, 2025 at the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. A total of 73 teams and nearly 500 athletes representing 40 institutions will be competing for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Division I Cross Country National Championships in Columbia, MO on November 22, 2025.

The American Junior Golf Association is making its return to Sacramento April 18-20, 2025, for the 2025 Sacramento Junior Championship. Presented by the Morton Golf Foundation, the 54-hole tournament will be held at the Alister MacKenzie Golf Course at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. The event will feature a field of 96 regional co-ed golfers, ages 12-18. The event provides an opportunity for youth golfers who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through exposure to competitive junior golf events. The event will be the second of a five-year commitment with the Morton Golf Foundation, a 501c3 organization that raises funds for golf programs in the greater Sacramento community.
